Mike Olembo biography

Mike O. has for many years been widely recognized as salsa teacher, the man who brought “L.A. style” to Belgium, choreographer and performer for many major national and international events and television shows. A born entertainer, his passion for dance and music transpires in every move he makes.

Before becoming a renowned salsa teacher Mike O. was a member of a Hip Hop Funk Dance Team and of a Brazilian, Cuban Dance Company. He set up his first Mike O. Dance Company in 1999 followed by the creation of the O. Junior Team and various show groups since then.

In Belgium he runs O’ Dance Events wich organize dance classes and a social dance evening every week at BAO café in Brussels, known for that special “O”-factor of warm and fun atmosphere. Theme parties, workshops, salsa holidays and a variety of afro-latin dance classes are also on the activity list.

Mike O. has a great passion for his work and Afro-Salsa dances, and collaborates with several talented teachers in a cooperative work environment.
